قُدِّم معرض "جنون المادة" في متحف المعدن للفن الإفريقي المعاصر (MACAAL) سنة 2019، وهو يستكشف حدود المواد وإمكاناتها في الفن الإفريقي المعاصر. يجمع المعرض فنانين يحوّلون مواد غير متوقعة — من نفايات وأشياء يومية ومعادن ومنسوجات — إلى أعمال فنية جريئة ومفاجئة. من خلال هذا المسار، يسلّط متحف المعدن للفن الإفريقي المعاصر الضوء على روح الابتكار، والحرية الإبداعية، والتجريب الشكلي لدى هؤلاء الفنانين، كما يطرح تساؤلات حول علاقتنا بالأشياء، والاستهلاك، والبيئة. ويدعو معرض "جنون المادة" الزائر إلى إعادة اكتشاف العالم المادي من زاوية فنية، حيث يلتقي الخيال بالتقنية لتوسيع حدود الإبداع إلى آفاق جديدة.

Presented at the Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) in 2019, Material Insanity explores the limits and possibilities of materials in contemporary African art. The exhibition brings together artists who transform unexpected materials — waste, everyday objects, metals or textiles — into bold and surprising works of art. Through this journey, MACAAL highlights the inventiveness, creative freedom and formal experimentation of these artists, while questioning our relationship with objects, consumption and the environment. Material Insanity invites visitors to rediscover the material world through an artistic lens, where imagination and technique meet to push the boundaries of creation.
