يسر متحف الفن المعاصر الأفريقي المعدن (MACAAL) أن يقدم ”خزانة الماء“ (The Water Cabinet)، وهو عمل فيديو تركيبي من أربع قنوات للفنانين هانكام وشولر(Hanakam & Schuller)، برعاية ستيلا رينهولد روداس (Stella Reinhold-Rudas)، بالتعاون مع حديقة أنيما (Jardin Anima) في مراكش.
MACAAL is pleased to present The Water Cabinet, a four-channel film installation by artist duo Hanakam & Schuller, created in collaboration with curator Stella Reinhold-Rudas and Anima Garden.
تم تطوير هذا المشروع استجابةً للجفاف الشديد الذي ضرب المغرب في صيف 2022، وهو يوسّع نطاق بحث الفنانين في المناظر الطبيعية في سياق التغير المناخي. تم تصويره في أجواء تشبه الحلم في حديقة ”أنيما“، ويمنح هذا العمل الفني صوتًا للبستانيين والتقنيين الذين يتحدثون عن أنشطتهم اليومية، كاشفين عن الرعاية والتراث والمقاومة الصامتة التي تشكل الحياة الخفية للحدائق.
Developed in response to the severe drought in Morocco in 2022, the project explores water as an ecological, political and symbolic element. Filmed within the dreamlike setting of Anima Garden, it gives voice to gardeners and technicians who reflect on their daily work, revealing how care, heritage and resilience shape the hidden life of gardens.

Filmed amid a landscape affected by the nearby dried-up Ourika River, the work questions power dynamics behind access to water and highlights gardens as sites where nature, knowledge and myth intersect.

About the artists
ماركوس هاناكام (1979 في إيسن، ألمانيا) وروزويثا شولر (1984 في فريزاخ، النمسا) درس كلاهما في جامعة الفنون التطبيقية في فيينا. يعملان كثنائي منذ عام 2004. عُرضت أعمالهما في دار تقافات العالم في برلين، ومركز آيبيم للفنون والتكنولوجيا في نيويورك، وقصر طوكيو في باريس، ومتحف المرآب للثقافة المعاصرة في موسكو، ومتحف "ماك" في فيينا، ومتحف الفن والعمارة في فيينا، ومركز ماك للفنون والعمارة في لوس أنجلوس، والمركز الوطني للفنون في طوكيو، ومركز الفنون الوطنية في طوكيو، ومركز "بولييكو" للفن المعاصر في اليونان، وغيرها. وقد شاركا في العديد من برامج الإقامة الفنية الدولية، لا سيما مع "غاليري كرينزينغر" التي تمثلهما منذ عام 2012. يعيش الفنانان ويعملان في فيينا.
Markus Hanakam (1979 in Essen, Germany) and Roswitha Schuller (1984 in Friesach, Austria) both studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. They have been working as a duo since 2004. Their works have been shown at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, the Eyebeam Center for Art + Technology in New York, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Garage Museum of Contemporary Culture in Moscow, the MAK in Vienna, the Kunstforum in Vienna, the MAK Center for Art and Architecture in Los Angeles and the National Art Center in Tokyo, PCAI Polyeco Contemporary Art in Greece, among others. They have participated in numerous international artist-in-residence programs, including with Galerie Krinzinger, which has represented them since 2012. The artists live and work in Vienna.

About Stella Reinhold-Rudas
تعيش ستيلا رينهولد-روداس وتعمل كقيّمة فنية مستقلة في فيينا. وهي مؤسسة معرض ليرستاند. وفي عامي 2022 و2003 كانت ناشطة في جمعية أصدقاء الانفصال الفنية. قادت العديد من المشاريع لصالح هيرمان نيتش ومجموعة "باها" وأسبوع فيينا للفنون وغيرها. عملت في "غاليري كرينزينغر" من 2015-2017 وأدارت مشاريع "كرينزينغر" خلال هذه الفترة. وقبل ذلك، عملت قبل ذلك لسنوات عديدة كمحررة ثقافية في صحيفة "كورييه" اليومية وكوسيطة فنية في باريس.
Stella Reinhold-Rudas lives and works as a freelance curator in Vienna, founder of Leerstand Gallery. 2022-23 active for the Friends of the Secession. Various projects for Hermann Nitsch, Baha Collection, Vienna Art Week and others, worked for Galerie Krinzinger from 2015 to 2017 and managed the Krinzinger projects during this time. Prior to this, she worked for many years as a cultural editor for the daily newspaper Kurier and as an art mediator in Paris.
